CALL Copenhagen’s international project manager, and former CTO of BIOFOS Denmark, Jens Prisum, is appointed leader of Water Europe’s (form. WssTP) Water-Smart Cities Cluster.
The position gives CALL a unique access to European partners and collaboration opportunities in the area of water and climate adaptation projects.
Water Europe (Water supply and sanitation Technology Platform) is the European platform for promoting support for the development of water technology in the EU research and innovation funding programmes, currently Horizon 2020.
Water Europe has put forward a Water Vision 2030, where a number of cross-cutting clusters are responsible for its implementation. One of the these is named Water-Smart Cities because a sustainable urban development goes hand in hand with a smart and sustainable water supply.
The cluster is strongly focused on the development of water oriented living labs, which are expected to be of key importance to the upcoming Horizon work programmes – making CALL and Water Europe an obvious match.
