31 May 2017 we officially inaugurated the Climate Adaptation Living Lab for Greater Copenhagen (CALL Copenhagen) – a new nexus for the demonstration, up-scaling and marketing of systemic climate adaptation solutions.
CALL Copenhagen will be the future gateway for the decision makers and professionals around the world, who seek inspiration from the many sustainable solutions that have established Greater Copenhagen as a global climate adaption front-runner.
The opening day was organized as a playful exhibition offering the visitors the opportunity to engage with more than thirty climate adaption technology providers, consultancies and stakeholders. This opportunity was also appreciated by the keynote speakers, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen (Chairwoman of The Danish Capital Region) and Morten Kabell (Mayor of Technical and Environmental Affairs of Copenhagen), who learned with great interest about the latest in Danish climate adaptation technologies.

The Greater Copenhagen Climate Adaptation Living Lab is a strategic cooperation between The Danish Capital Region, Greater Copenhagen Utility, The City of Copenhagen and Greater Copenhagen Wastewater, with the aim of advancing a climate ready Capital Region and making the often-complex solutions available to a global market.
As stated by Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, we are facing serious climate changes and we have to combine our efforts to adapt the region – both because water ignores borders and because investments in climate adaption offer a great opportunity for green growth.
