Smart rain water management based on weather radar data
Though plenty of rainfall data is already available, more detailed, validated, and coordinated weather radar information is needed for urban areas. This will allow the water companies to base their operations on a hydraulically adapted and distributed model.
That is one of the conclusions of the the Danish water utility collaboration VeVa, presented by Peter Rasch, CEO at InforMetics, at CALL Copenhagen’s Smart Water Conference in December 2018. In this video, he explains that transparent data can lead to better utilization of the existing sewage network and to a reduced need for investments in climate adaptation solutions.
