CALL Copenhagen and Isle Utilities host first European Urban Resilience TAG Event
On 23&24 January, CALL Copenhagen and HOFOR – Greater Copenhagen Utility welcomed together with Isle Utilities representatives from 14 different cities, utilities and universities for the launch of the Urban Resilience Technology Approval Group (UR TAG) at HOFOR’s headquarters in Copenhagen.
Isle Utilities is a global consultancy, which scouts innovative technologies for utility companies and cities. As market experts, Isle’s consultants also assist the market entry of new technologies and their international proliferation.
During last week’s two-day event, the participants saw three technology pitches: The “Rockflow” water absorbing stone wool water management system by Lapinus/Rockwool, the “Modular Wetlands” planting bed system by MILFORD and the “CENTAUR” urban flood alleviation system by EMS.
The program also contained several technical site visits to Greater Copenhagen’s many climate adaptation solutions and plenty of time for networking, discussion and exchange.
Isle Utilities strives to develop and expand the UR TAG concept to create a trans-European expert platform for urban resilience technologies, with regular events held all over Europe.
Reach out to Isle Utilities’ Sylvia Schuster, if you are interested in pitching your technology on the next event in June 2019 and if you want to participate in the platform as a city or utility.
